The SC/ST cell of MMNSS College Kottiyam aims at promoting social equality via educational upliftment of the socially backward classes. To this end, the SC/ST cell promotes remedial coaching classes for the weak students belonging to these classes. The college helps the students to secure financial support from the government in the form of scholarships and grants. Counseling sessions are also arranged for the needy. The motivated students from these communities are identified by their respective tutors and are encouraged to enroll for career orientation programs like Walk with a Scholar, ASAP, etc.
